Beautiful

Barbara Vitello -

Daily Herald

"It primarily consists of classics by King and her first husband, lyricist Gerry Goffin, plus a handful of tunes by fellow songwriters and friendly competitors Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil … Andrew MacNaughton delivers a strong performance vocally and comedically as hypochondriac composer Barry Mann."

Jersey Boys

Rachel Weinberg - BroadwayWorld

"Andrew MacNaughton is an instant winner as Bob Gaudio, the missing puzzle piece and talented songwriter the original Four Seasons need for their meteoric rise to the top. MacNaughton plays up Gaudio’s relative cluelessness but also his breakneck determination beautifully. He also has a gorgeous singing voice; MacNaughton’s tone is crystalline and so pleasant, and he particularly shines on “Cry For Me.” And when Metcalf, Aguilar, Evans, and MacNaughton come together to sing those famous Four Seasons harmonies, it’s stage magic. When they take the stage for that first big hit “Sherry,” it’s practically electric. This is pure musical theater fun, and Mercury has found just the right performers to portray Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons."

Jersey Boys

"Andrew MacNaughton rounds out the singing group as Bob Gaudio, their chief songwriter. From his first appearance, MacNaughton amazes with a stunning voice. He starts off fabulously and then continues to get better from there. One area where all four stars excel is in showing the development of the group. They start off as teens looking for a way out and graduate to worldwide headliners wowing audiences with precision choreography and stunning harmonies. It is a journey that will delight any audience.

Young Frankenstein

"Young Frankenstein’ comes alive at Mercury Theater, thanks to Igor and the Monster"
Thanks mostly to the two actors playing the roles with most of the comedy... the Monster, essayed by Andrew MacNaughton, kills it during the show’s funniest number, “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” charmingly staged by choreographer Brenda Didier and filled with amusements.

Young Frankenstein

Josh Flanders - Chicago Reader

'A monster of a good time"
With very few lines, Andrew MacNaughton as The Monster must rely on his physical comedic chops and he kills. (Literally, sometimes.) With all the legendary actors from the film leaving huge shoes to fill, this cast does a remarkable job, especially MacNaughton whose transformation is the most dynamic. This is a role that looks easy but requires such a huge lift night after night. When they get to “Puttin’ on the Ritz” he is hilarious, all while making it his own and distinguishing himself from Peter Boyle’s classic rendition.

Matilda the Musical

Richard Pahl, Northwest Herald

Andrew MacNaughton is a standout as both an enthusiastic Doctor and a Russian mafioso. The adult ensemble displays its athleticism in musical numbers such as “School Song” and “The Smell of Rebellion.”

White Christmas

Carol Moore, PanoramaNOW Entertainment News

Mike (Andrew MacNaughton), the Stage Manager, bewails the fact that he has just five days to put a show together. This is a wonderful show with an amazingly talented cast. Although there are just eight dancers – and everyone plays other parts – when they start dancing, they take over the stage. They are: Ann Delaney, Allyson Graves, Matthew Huston, Andrew MacNaughton...
